We have an opportunity for a limited number of you to go to Washington, D.C., and speak face-to-face with members of Congress and their staff to tell them about the issues important to your business and to the powersports industry. This is your chance to tell them what needs to be done.
The Motorcycle Industry Council has a special offer to NPDA members interested in attending the Powersports Capitol Hill Fly-In, April 7-8. Lawmakers need to hear from local employers (you!) about how policies and legislation can affect your business, and in turn, their districts. Your dealership provides jobs and benefits to their constituents, and it’s your taxes that help the economy, locally and nationally.
Issues the industry is tackling include:
· Fighting tariffs
· Opposing unfair or overreaching PFAS laws
· Ensuring public lands remain open to motorcycle, ATV, and ROV enthusiasts
· Pushing for legislation that is fair and beneficial to the powersports industry
If you haven’t been to D.C. or feel you don’t have the experience, don’t worry, the MIC makes it easy. Once you register, MIC staff will set up your Hill meetings based on the zip code(s) of your dealership location(s). The MIC will help with talking points and at the Fly-In, everyone will go over those points together. You’ll be accompanied by industry peers and/or MIC staff at meetings. You won’t have to do anything alone.
There is also time for fun. The MIC will host two evening receptions and a breakfast for Fly-In participants. This is a great time to network with industry leaders from OEMs, aftermarket companies, financial services, and more.
The MIC is offering NPDA members a substantially discounted registration rate of $300 (normally $1,000). If dealers decide to join the MIC, the $300 can be applied toward the MIC dealer membership fee of $495. There is no registration cost to NPDA members who are already MIC members. All Fly-In participants are responsible for their own travel and hotel costs.
