EDGE: Big Beautiful Bill and Powersports Dealers with CBIZ

The meeting focused on tax planning and benefits for the motorcycle and powersports industry, with presentations from CBIZ accounting firm representatives who discussed various tax provisions and deductions available to businesses. The discussion covered key tax changes including depreciation options, business interest limitations, and individual tax provisions, with emphasis on strategic planning to maximize deductions and take advantage of new opportunities. The session concluded with insights on qualified opportunity zones, estate and gift tax considerations, and new deductions for vehicle purchases, along with recommendations for dealers to review their tax strategies and business structures.

EDGE: Powersports & LIFO with CBIZ

The meeting focused on the Last-In, First-Out (LIFO) inventory accounting method, with presentations by CBIZ experts Andy Spears and Jane Saxon who explained its benefits for cash flow and tax savings in an inflationary environment. The discussion covered practical implementation strategies, including how LIFO can be used alongside other tax deferral methods and its compatibility with different inventory types. The session concluded with information about upcoming industry events and resources, including a national gathering in Columbus and an upcoming webinar about new tax laws.
