JIM WOODRUFF RECEIVES NPDA BOB ALTHOFF FOUNDERS AWARD

Founding Member Recognized For Contributions To NPDA

Falls Church, VA | October 9, 2026 — The National Powersports Dealer Association (NPDA) presented Jim Woodruff, one of the association’s founding advisors, with the 2026 Bob Althoff Founders Award during DealerConnect 2026 in Columbus, Ohio.

The Bob Althoff Founders Award recognizes individuals whose extraordinary service, leadership and commitment have helped build and strengthen NPDA. Named in honor of NPDA founder Bob Althoff, the award celebrates those who embody the spirit upon which the association was founded by generously contributing their time, expertise and resources in support of NPDA and the powersports dealer community.

“Jim has been one of those people who has quietly been there for NPDA from the beginning, always asking what he can do to help,” said Kim Harrison, NPDA Secretary/Treasurer and founding Board member. “He has given us his time, his knowledge and his financial support, but what stands out most to me is how deeply he believes in what NPDA can become. I saw that again firsthand during our strategic planning meeting in Dallas. Jim didn't just lead us through the process—he made sure we had everything we needed to have an honest, productive conversation about the future of this association. Having Bob Althoff personally present Jim with the award that bears Bob's name made the recognition even more meaningful. I can't think of a more deserving way to honor Jim for everything he has done for the NPDA.”

Woodruff has supported NPDA since its earliest meetings and has spent countless hours volunteering, advising association leadership and financially supporting the organization. Most recently, he led NPDA’s Board of Directors through an extensive strategic planning meeting in Dallas focused on the association’s future and five-year direction. Woodruff donated the meeting facility and covered the meeting expenses to ensure the Board could come together for the planning session.

Adding special significance to the presentation, Bob Althoff attended DealerConnect and personally presented the award bearing his name to Woodruff.
