Yes, You're Invited to SEMA

The powersports industry will have a much larger presence at this year’s SEMA Show, November 3 through 6 in Las Vegas. For 2026, SEMA is launching a dedicated Powersports, SxS & Lifestyle section in the West Hall, located alongside its Truck and Off-Road sections.

NPDA will be exhibiting at the event, with representatives from our Board of Directors and NPDA staff members onsite to discuss any aspect of the NPDA. We encourage all Powersports Dealers to visit us in the West Hall at booth #60247.

The expansion reflects something most powersports dealers already know about their customers: the lines between automotive, off-road and powersports enthusiasts are increasingly blurred. The same customer who owns a motorcycle or side-by-side often owns a truck, trailer and other recreational vehicles and spends money modifying and accessorizing all of them. SEMA’s own research found that 60% of specialty equipment manufacturers already produce products for at least one powersports or recreational vehicle segment, while 47% of retailers and installers sell into those segments.

The powersports presence at the Show is continuing to grow. Harley-Davidson recently announced that it will participate, joining Kawasaki, Kymco, Mahindra, Massimo Motor, Showa Performance and other powersports exhibitors. SEMA is also adding motorcycles to its Battle of the Builders competition for the first time this year.

NPDA views SEMA’s increased interest in powersports as a positive development for our industry. Powersports dealers have traditionally operated within a relatively small ecosystem of manufacturers, distributors, vendors and industry events. SEMA brings together more than 2,000 brands from across the automotive aftermarket and provides an opportunity for dealers to see products, technology and business ideas that may not otherwise make their way into the traditional powersports channels.

There is also an opportunity for the powersports industry to bring something to SEMA.  For many longtime dealers, the annual trip to Indy remains one of the best memories of being part of this industry. We went to see new products and learn what was coming next, but we also went to reconnect with old friends, share stories and have a little fun with people who understood the business. Dealers have been looking for an event that can rekindle that sense of community and excitement. With its growing powersports presence and thousands of exhibitors under one roof, SEMA may give us an opportunity to begin rebuilding something our industry has missed for years.

Our dealers understand enthusiast customers, recreation, customization and the importance of creating experiences around the products we sell. Bringing these industries closer together should create opportunities for manufacturers, vendors and dealers on both sides.

NPDA encourages dealers attending SEMA this year to spend some time in the new Powersports section, but also to explore the broader Show. Some of the most useful ideas may come from outside our own industry.
