NPDA celebrates 4 Years of industry advocacy, growth

The National Powersports Dealer Association (NPDA) is proud to celebrate its 4th anniversary this May, marking four years of unwavering commitment to empowering powersports dealers and advancing the industry. Since its founding by Dealership Owners in 2021, NPDA has become the unified voice for independent and franchised Dealers nationwide, working tirelessly to support their success, sustainability and influence.

 

The Founding Dealership Owners and Advisory Board Members from throughout the country gathered on countless video calls before meeting together in Texas at a property owned by Copart, Inc., parent company of National Powersport Auctions. After a few years of preparation, the NPDA received its 501(c)(6) non-profit status in May 2021.

 

Now with Dealer Members in all 50 states and Puerto Rico, more than two dozen Partners provide support to the NPDA in its PURE intention to Promote, Unite, Represent and Educate on behalf of all Dealerships. NPDA’s Dealership lineup ranges from single-store, single-brand locations to multi-line, multi-store operations, from on-road motorcycles to snowmobiles, to pre-owned only dealerships. All Dealership Members must sell new or used vehicles.

 

Founded on the belief that dealers deserve strong, centralized representation, NPDA has grown rapidly in both membership and impact. In 2024 and 2025, the association has seen significant achievements that underscore its mission: to drive excellence and profitability in the powersports retail sector.

 

Key Accomplishments Over the Past Year Include:

 

  • Milestone Moment with the Launch of Dealer Connect: 2025 saw the debut of Dealer Connect, the NPDA’s visionary initiative to foster a more connected, informed, and empowered powersports dealer network. The conference and networking event at the Sonesta Hotel in Columbus, Ohio, brought together NPDA Dealer Members and Partners to collaborate, share insights and grow their businesses."

 

  • Launch of the EDGE Educational Platform: A comprehensive online training platform delivering professional development, sales strategies, F&I education, and compliance resources tailored for dealers and their staff — all in the name of Education, Development, Growth and Excellence.

 

  • H-D Council’s Advocacy for Sustainable Profitability: The NPDA’s Harley-Davidson Council achieved worldwide recognition thanks to its efforts to advocate for sustainable profitability on behalf of the NPDA’s Harley-Davidson Dealer Members.

 

  • Expanded Member Services: From exclusive vendor Partnerships to real-time benchmarking tools on the EDGE webinars, NPDA continues to provide real business value to its members.

 

  • Membership Growth: Dealer membership has increased by over 40% since early 2024, showing strong nationwide support and growing recognition of NPDA’s value to the industry. New communication vehicles including Holeshot, Connections and Fast Tracks have allowed for increased awareness to current and future Dealer Members.

 

  • A TV Channel is Born: NPDA Members are now proud owners of Powersports World TV, a digital TV channel that was launched in 2024 on behalf of the industry to build ridership.
