The NPDA will be hosting an important dealer webinar with Leonard Bellavia, Esq., Founding Partner of Bellavia Cohen P.C. a/k/a DealerLaw.com, to address the recent FTC activity around vehicle pricing and what it may mean for powersports dealers. While much of the current attention has been focused on auto dealers, the underlying issue reaches well beyond automotive retail. Powersports dealers need to understand how advertised pricing, freight, setup, documentation, and other required charges may be viewed through the lens of FTC Section 5 enforcement.
This session will focus on the practical questions dealers are asking right now: How could this impact powersports? What should dealers be reviewing in their own advertising and sales processes? Where do website disclosures fall short? And what changes may be needed from OEMs, particularly around freight and setup being included in MSRP rather than pushed downstream onto the dealer and customer?
Leonard will bring a legal and dealer-focused perspective to a topic that is moving quickly and creating real uncertainty. Dealers do not need more rumors or generic compliance talk. They need clear guidance, practical next steps, and a better understanding of where the risks are. This webinar is intended to help dealers get informed, ask better questions, and start preparing before this issue becomes even more disruptive.
