George Gatto, a leading figure in the powersports and marine industry, is the President, Dealer Principal, and Majority Owner of Gatto Cycle Shop, celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2024. Raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, George's early immersion in the family business fueled a transformative journey.

Under his dynamic leadership, Gatto Cycle Shop evolved from a modest multi-line powersports dealership to a comprehensive enterprise with a large powersports store, a new marine boat store, and the renowned Three Rivers Harley-Davidson dealership. In 2021, George successfully consolidated three Harley-Davidson dealerships into a single, expansive location.

A second-generation workaholic, George’s strategic vision expanded a small bicycle store into five outlets, later consolidated when acquiring the Pittsburgh H-D store in 2007. Educated at Penn State University and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, George is an avid learner, having read extensively and completed various educational programs, including Harley-Davidson University.

In 2000, George founded a powerful Young Presidents Organization (YPO) Forum, shaping his leadership approach. Actively contributing to the industry, he played a pivotal role in founding the National Powersports Dealer Association (NPDA) and its Harley-Davidson Dealer Council. Currently, he serves as Chairman for NPDA and YPO Pittsburgh, contributing to the development of young leaders.

George’s commitment extends to the Pennsylvania Powersports Dealer Association (PPD), where he is a founding board member and Chairman. Past board positions include YPO Pittsburgh, the National Bicycle Dealer Association, the Penn State University NK Advisory Board, and the Harley-Davidson Dealer Advisory Council (DAC).

Beyond business, George enjoys snow skiing, boating, and motorcycling. Happily married to Paula for 30 years, they have a daughter, Giovanna (Gigi), currently a nurse aspiring to become a Nurse Practitioner through graduate studies.
